Item# 0162P Charles Navasie, Hopi.
Charles is the grandson of Joy Navasie (Frog Woman), a potter of renown, and he is making a name for himself as well. In this lovely work the body of the pot has three corn maidens with varying types of headdress' on each figure. They are separated by elongated triangles of brownish stipple-like texturing.

Item# 0163P Ida Sahmie, Hopi/Navajo.
A famous potter who uses her own Navajo symbols, this piece represents the Night Dance of the Sky, with Yei-bi-chi's of both genders on the top half of the pot standing as if in a row around the entire circumference of the pot. The shadows from these figures from the firelight appear on the lower half of the piece. There is a light etching of white stars to represent the sky.
