From an artists whose origin is one of well known basket weavers from an area in South Eastern California near Lake Havasu, this woman has established herself as an outstanding potter of intricate and delicate pots and stopper lids. The piece shown here has a globular form with a black swan on the body and tapering neck of orange color. Lid is of stopper form with a sculptured swan also in orange. Size: 1-3/4" high

The son of Camilio Tafoya, Joseph has become famous for his intricate portraits of wildlife on his pottery and is a member of the family that helped the miniature style to flourish. this piece is black/gray with multi-colors of incised mimbres rabbit design with mother earth sketched as an open winged butterfly and medallion depicting the 1992 yearly symbol of "Life Without Feeling". Size:
1-7/16" high by 1-7/16" diameter.
ITEM# 0103MP Iris Yovella Nampeyo, Hopi. Another outstanding potter who has applied her skills to beautiful miniatures. This piece is light beige that is stone polished. It has a small oval opening at the top and just below this opening is the artist's signature ear of corn with husk partially exposing kernels done in matte or bisque finish. Size: 3/4"
high by 1-1/4" diameter.
ITEM# 0124MP Dolores Lewis Garcia, Acoma. As the daughter of Lucy M. Lewis this artist learned her craft at the elbow of an Acoma matriarch in pottery creations. This piece shows a highly detailed mimbres design with multi-colored animal figures of rabitt, lizard etc., integrated around the circumference of the pot. Size:
1-3/4" high by 1-1/4" diameter.
ITEM# 0209MP Nancy Youngblood Cutter, Santa Clara. Most collectors are well aware of this potters renowned family and beautiful creations. It is highly unusual to obtain her works and this miniature piece came from another collectors estate. It is a pattern of carved feathers one halfway down the piece, with the remaining half of the pot being a black polished surface. It is a prize piece for any collection. Size:
1-9/16" high by 2" wide.
ITEM# 0212MP Sandra Victorino, Acoma. This talented potter learned well at side of her grandmother (Lita L. Garcia) and her aunt (Dorothy Torivio). Sandra is widely respected for her large, intricately painted ollas, vases, jars, bowls, and miniatures. Her designs often repeat hundreds of swirling bands of symbols creating an optical effect called "eyedazzlers". This piece is a miniature version of these larger works with three varying patterns separated with red kiva steps moving up and around the curve of the pots surface to the elongated opening. Even among the incredible talent of the Acoma potters, Sandra's work stands out for its high quality and near perfection execution. Size:
3-1/2" high by 2-7/8" wide.
